SINGER JAY KHAN OPENS HIS OWN RESTAURANT “PADRE E FIGLIO” in BERLIN

The talented singer and songwriter Jay Khan opens his own italian restaurant “Padre E Figlio”in Berlin and therefore enriched the capital of Germany with a culinary insider tip. As the italian name already suggests, it is family-owned by father and son.

Khan was born as the eldest of three children of a Pakiani cuisninier and a Briton. When he was six years old, his parents moved to Germany – Berlin, where he grew up in his childhood. In the age of 16 he started to work with the record company Triple-M as a songwriter, below others for the group Overground. Their album reached platinum status in Germany. The own musical breakthrough for Khan came in 2005, when the music producer Lou Pearlman founded the multinational band US5 . Within the band Khan acted as a singer, also as a producer and again as a songwriter and was jointly responsible for the good chart positions.
Currently, Khan is music label producer (Nexxus Music) and is gaining successfully attention with his new band “Großstadtfreunde”. The band has quite recently won the award for the Newcomer of the Year at the lately conferred EMMAwards. The authentic lyrics are in german, profound and touch the soul while the melodies play into the heart.

Above all Khan proves one thing – what you wish to achieve is possible. In order to make dreams and goals come true, it requires imagination, strong-mindness, heart and soul.
Khan himself says modest and down to earth: “I have worked the last 3 1/2 months every day obsessively – making a small lifelong dream to my family and me come true. Today I open my first restaurant quietly and gently! The official opening will take place in a few weeks. We have already opened and I am delighted to welcome you, to celebrate together the great result. There are some great people involved in this project and every individual has invested a lot of blood, sweat and tears.”

The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and reveals great attention to details and spreads simultaneously a lot of warmth. The atmosphere is very familiar by the friendly staff and the food is a true culinary delight with its fresh ingredients and thoughtfully chosen dishes. Of course, these are delicious prepared by Khan’s father himself.

Khan expresses his appreciation to the father directly by the following quote, which  has been carefully selected by him and which is to be found at the first page of the restaurant’s menu map – with the following photography :

“The father’s ability is the best teacher of his son.”~ Democritus ~
What a beautiful and meaningful gesture from a son to a father. Parents always accompany their children unconditionally through life. Pleasant it is, if children at one point in their lives are able to return this with full of gratitude.
The “Padre e Figlio” in Berlin almost invites to create with friends and family new and beautiful memories in a comfortable atmosphere.  Integrated in the premises is also  a bar, which invites you to linger with excellent drinks. The restaurant is located in the Uhlandstrasse, not far from the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin-Charlottenburg. It is open for its guest everyday from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am.
I wishJay Khan, father and family a lot of success!
Curious about what Khan will surprise us in the future even more.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY - MCM BERLIN

On March 8th, 2013 MCM has invited to celebrate the International Women's Day, so I was honored to join this amazing event at their flagship boutique at Kurfürstendamm 186 in 10707 Berlin, Germany.

The invitation letter was called like as follows:

MCM is delighted to invite you to celebrate the upcoming International Women's Day on friday 8 March,2013.

Join us for a day filled with roses, champagne and special suprises in our flagship boutique at Kurfürstendamm 186.

                                                            Yours
                                                 MCM Team Berlin

Before entering their boutique, everyone has been welcomed by pillars decorated with cream white roses - how gorgeous is this!
The boutique itself was not less decorated. It exuded pure elegance, warmth and also the feeling being ready for spring.
The team was very friendly and very service orientated, a real pleasure and very exiting for ladies to be part of the day.

For those who are not quite familiar with MCM, here are some informative lines:
MCM stands for Mode Creation Munich and was founded in 1975 by Michael Cromer as a  german luxury brand, located in Munich, Germany. today it is based in South Korea and headed by the chairwoman and CEO Sung-Joo Kim. The main designer is the popular Michael Michalsky.
The luxury brand has offices in eight countries with over seventy boutiques worldwide and has become most famous for its luxury handbag collection.

Me for myself has been in love with a very special clutch, made with snake pattern and highlighted by Svarowski stones and also with some black wedges with silver spikes at the backside. Perfect for breaking the rules.

On the other side the campaigne of MCM in 2013 reminds of a journey to Monaco, known for an iconic luxury destination.
The elegant materials, prints and colur palettes are new and you get instantly the desire to go sailing and cruise the sea.
The colors are opulent blue, white, turquoise, coral , yellow and green.

And for the ladies who prefer soft candie colors like a soft pink and blue MCM offers the right ones as well.

For me personal it has been a nice afternoon and evening . Thank you MCM and Team!

I would like to conclude this article with the following words, just for all the beautiful ladies out there in the world:

A strong woman
is one who feels deeply and loves fiercely.
Her tears flow just as abundantly as her laughter ...

A strong woman is both soft and powerful.
She is both practical and spritual ...

A strong woman in her essence -
is a gift to the world ... ˙·٠•●Ƹ̵̡Ʒ

Never forget how unique and beautiful each of us is.  Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and begins with oneself.

xoxo and happy weekend,
Nadine

Diner en Blanc

Hello everybody and welcome back on my blog.
I'm so sorry, I was so much busy the last days that I couldn't post anything...

One question before, what do you associate with the color "white"?

For me - white symbolizes purity, cleanliness, elegance, freshness, zest for life, harmony, spring and sommer.

So have you ever heard about the "Diner en blanc"?

It is an organized public picnic, based on a private initiative through (social) networks. Mass of people come together on a famous urban location, all dressed in white.

The idea has started in Paris in Sommer of 1988 by Francois Pasquier. He had a private garden party and decided spontaneously in cause of a lack of space to move the whole party to the nearby Bois de Boulogne. An idea and phenomenon was born....

Meanwhile, there are similar events in several cities worldwide. It is an exlusive upper-class event without commercial or political backgrounds. The number of participants is now in the thousands.
This beautiful event is like a flash mob and until the last day the location is kept secret. Distinguishing feature: white dress from head to toe. (how gorgeous is this?!)
Loaded with picnic baskets, participants flock to the agreed meeting point. Tables and chairs are brought together and transform the streets into a giant open air banquet. Precious or rustic - everyone can enjoy their own menu.

I really love the atmosphere, the candles, the sparklers ... it is absoloutely amazing. It is super-elegant.

This is an event, everyone should do.
